Holiday programme – Auckland Netball

Auckland Netball offers a variety of fun and varied holiday programmes to suit boys and girls in Years 1-8.

We are lucky to have a large and well-ventilated indoor venue as well as ample outdoor space to fill with lots of fun activities including our MULTI-activity programme, Combination, and Netball programmes. For April 2024 we have a brand-new MULTISport programme which will be taking place at our St Johns venue.

2024 Weetbix Tryathlon

After a “not so nice” Saturday night, pitching the gazebos in the rain, Sunday’s weather was perfect for this year’s event. 3,120 children and their families descended upon Pt England in droves!

Our new team members were a wee bit nervous to begin with but finished their events like seasoned athletes. Well done to all of you and thank you to the parents for getting up early on a Sunday morning!

Scroll onto the following slides to see a few photos of our day. Hopefully you will join us next year.

2024 Winter Netball

Entries are now closed. Due to limited coaches and umpires available spaces are limited to those who completed the form by Friday 22 March. Anyone after the 22nd has been short listed.

It’s that time again! Please complete this form by Friday 22 March if you would like your child to play Winter Netball this year. Both boys and girls are welcome!

Netball is Back

Auckland Netball would like to invite you to attend our FREE ‘Netball is back, Give It a Go Day’ this coming Saturday 9th March, and the following Saturday 16th March at 1pm.  This is an exciting opportunity for all children from Year 1 right through to Year 8 to come along to one of our venues at ANC St Johns, or Windmill Park, Mt Eden and see what Netball is about. Even if you have played before, we would love to have you along.

We will have lots of fun activities planned and some game time to ‘Give It a Go’. There will be chances to have all your questions answered by our expert Umpire lead and Game Day advisors. There will be spot prizes, a fun atmosphere, free ice creams, and most importantly – lots of netball!

Information about registrations for the 2024 Winter season will be posted next week. Watch this space!

Eden Albert Swimming

Last week, sorry for the delay, we sent our swim squad and Sam Lyons to the Eden Albert Swimming Competition. Sam’s message:

Congratulations to the nine children who represented Ōwairaka at the Eden Albert Swim Comp recently – Pablo, Niko, Phoenix, Kaea, Michaela, Tuhilani, Connie, Layla jay and Jade. The group trained well and supported each other amazingly during the competition. Thanks also to the parents who supported the team on the day.

Play Rugby This Winter

Winter sport is nearly around the corner which means Eden Rugby Club registrations are open for Junior players.

Eden Rugby has Rippa and Tackle from U6s through to U17s for both boys and girls so there is something for everyone.

They love having children from local schools wearing the Black and Gold colours of Eden Rugby.

Lace up your boots and give it a go!
